Welcome to
our classroom website! This website will provide you with all the
exciting things we are doing in our kindergarten class. I will
update the site as needed to help keep you informed. Please feel

What's New in
Kindergarten?
Nov.
3- Nov. 6
This week we will be
focusing on the letter/sound Pp. Our new words for the week
are: we, my, like. Please practice all word wall words and
letter/sounds at home.
Oct.
12- Oct. 18
This week we will be
focusing on the letter/sound Tt. We will be reviewing all word
wall words. Our theme study for the week is apples. Thank
you to all the parents and grandparents that came and helped out with
our field trip!! We had a lot of fun!! Check back soon for
pictures from our field trip!!
Oct.
5- Oct. 9
This week we will be
focusing on the letter/sound Mm. We will be adding these words to
the word wall: a, to. Our field trip to the Beck Mountain
Corn Maze is scheduled for Friday, October 9th. Money for the
field trip has to be turned in by October 8th. Please continue to
practice identifying all letters and word wall words.
Sept.
28-Oct. 2
This week the students will be
introduced to the letters: Tt, Uu, Vv, Ww, Xx, Yy, and Zz. Please
practice identifying both upper and lower case letters at home along
with word wall words. Students will also be reviewing all word
wall words this week. These words include: red, orange,
yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, white, gray, pink, I, am,
the, little. Please send in permission slips and money for our
field trip to Beck Mountain Corn Maze.
Sept.
21-25
Last week the
students were introduced to the letters: Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Jj, Kk,
Ll, Mm, Nn. They also reviewed the word wall words: I, am.
This week we will be covering the letters: Oo, Pp, Qq, Rr,
Ss. We will also be adding to the word wall the words: the,
little. Please practice identifying all letters and word wall
words at home.
Sept.
8-11
Students will be
introduced to the letters: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee. They will be
given an identification assessment at the end of the week. We
will also be adding the remaining color words: black, pink, gray,
and brown along with the words "I" and "am" to the word wall.
Fund raiser packets are due on Tuesday, Sept. 8. If you are
wanting to buy books from the scholastic packet.. that money is due on
Friday, Sept. 11.
Aug. 24-28
We will be going over Nursery Rhymes and color words this week.
The colors: yellow, blue, white, green, purple, red, and orange
will be added to the word wall. Open House will be on August
27th. Come and meet your teacher and get a free hot dog!!!
School will
start on
August 14th. Kindergarten phase in will begin on this day.
Please bring your child on your assigned day. The first day for
all kindergarten students begins on August 21st.
